Bhagyashree is an Indian actress who has appeared in over 30 films in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil languages. She is best known for her role in the 1989 blockbuster film Maine Pyar Kiya, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Bhagyashree was born on 23 February 1969 in Maharashtra, India. She is the daughter of Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan and Meena Patwardhan. She has two siblings, a brother named Vishal Patwardhan and a sister named Madhuvanti Patwardhan. Bhagyashree made her acting debut in the Marathi film Gammat Jammat in 1987. She then went on to appear in several other Marathi films, including Aai Pahije, Jeevan Ek Sanghursh, and Aai Tuza Ashirwad. In 1989, Bhagyashree made her Bollywood debut with the blockbuster film Maine Pyar Kiya, opposite Salman Khan. The film was a huge success and Bhagyashree won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She then went on to appear in several other Bollywood films, including Dil Ka Kya Kasoor, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! Bhagyashree has also appeared in several Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil films. She has also directed and written several Marathi films. Bhagyashree is married to Himalaya Dasani, a businessman. The couple has two children, a son named Abhimanyu Dasani and a daughter named Avantika Dasani.
