Bob Wilson (rugby union) was a Scottish rugby union player who played for Scotland from 1947 to 1955. He was a member of the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand and Australia in 1950. He was also a member of the Scotland team that won the Grand Slam in 1951. Wilson was born in Galashiels, Scotland, on 1 July 1926. He attended Galashiels Academy and then studied at Edinburgh University. He played for Gala RFC and then Edinburgh Academicals. Wilson made his international debut for Scotland against France in 1947. He went on to make a total of 24 appearances for Scotland, including the 1951 Grand Slam winning team. He also played for the British and Irish Lions in 1950, making three appearances against New Zealand and Australia. Wilson retired from rugby in 1955 and went on to become a successful businessman. He was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2002 for his services to rugby. He died in Edinburgh on 28 April 2021, aged 97.
