Brigitte Kren is an Austrian actress who has appeared in numerous films and television shows since the 1970s. She is best known for her roles in the films The Inheritance (1975), The Great Waldo Pepper (1975), and The Tin Drum (1979). Kren was born on 27 January 1954 in Graz, Austria. She studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and made her film debut in the 1975 film The Inheritance. She went on to appear in a number of films, including The Great Waldo Pepper (1975), The Tin Drum (1979), and The Name of the Rose (1986). Kren has also appeared in numerous television shows, including the Austrian series Der Alte (1984-1985), the German series Der Fahnder (1986-1987), and the Austrian series Kommissar Rex (1997-1998). Kren is married to Austrian actor and director Michael Haneke. They have two children.
