He attended the University of Southern California, where he studied music and theater. In 1956, Belland co-founded the singing group The Four Preps with Ed Cobb, Glen Larson, and Marvin Ingram. The group released several albums and singles, including the hit single "26 Miles (Santa Catalina)" in 1958. Belland left The Four Preps in 1962 to pursue a solo career. He released several solo albums, including "The Bruce Belland Album" in 1965 and "The Bruce Belland Collection" in 1967. He also acted in films and television shows, including "The Monkees" and "The Partridge Family". Belland has been married twice. He has two children from his first marriage and one from his second. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
