Carlos Berlanga is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and producer. He is best known for his work with the Spanish rock band Mecano, which he co-founded in 1981. He has also released several solo albums, including his debut album, "Carlos Berlanga" (1985). Berlanga was born in Madrid, Spain, on 11 August 1959. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and soon joined a local band. In 1981, he co-founded the Spanish rock band Mecano with his brother Nacho and Ana Torroja. The band achieved international success and released several albums, including "Descanso Dominical" (1984) and "Entre el Cielo y el Suelo" (1986). Berlanga left Mecano in 1988 and released his debut solo album, "Carlos Berlanga", in 1985. He has since released several other solo albums, including "Canciones de Amor" (1989), "Canciones de la Tierra" (1992), and "Canciones de la Vida" (1995). Berlanga has also composed music for films, including "La Vida es una Loteria" (1996) and "La Vida es una Fiesta" (1998).
