Charlie Tatham was born on 8 November, 1925 in Woodstock, Ontario. He was a politician and served as a Member of Provincial Parliament for Oxford from 1967 to 1975. Tatham was educated at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the bar in 1951 and practiced law in Woodstock. Tatham was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 1967 provincial election, defeating Progressive Conservative incumbent William J. Stewart by 1,845 votes in the riding of Oxford. He was re-elected in the 1971 election, but was defeated by Progressive Conservative candidate Robert Nixon in the 1975 election. Tatham was a member of the Ontario Liberal Party. He served as a cabinet minister in the government of Premier John Robarts, holding the portfolios of Minister of Labour (1967–1971) and Minister of Correctional Services (1971–1975). The Liberals were defeated in the 1990 provincial election, and Tatham was reduced to a third-place finish in Oxford, losing to Kimble Sutherland of the New Democratic Party.

1987

Tatham was elected to the Ontario legislature for the riding of Oxford in the 1987 provincial election, defeating incumbent Progressive Conservative Dick Treleaven by 2,874 votes. He served as a backbench supporter of David Peterson's government for the next three years.

1968
