Charlton Andrews was an American writer and journalist. He was born on February 1, 1878 in Connersville, Indiana. He attended the University of Michigan and graduated in 1901. After graduation, he worked as a reporter for the Detroit Free Press and the Chicago Tribune. In 1906, he moved to New York City and began writing for the New York Times. He wrote a number of books, including The Great Adventure (1912), The Great Adventure of the Sea (1913), and The Great Adventure of the Air (1914). He also wrote a number of short stories and articles for magazines such as Harper's, The Saturday Evening Post, and Collier's. Charlton Andrews was a prolific writer and was highly respected in the literary world. He was a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the National Institute of Arts and Letters.
