Chelsea Islan

On the 88th anniversary of the Hari Sumpah Pemuda (Youth Pledge), on 28 October 2016, Chelsea and her friends established a youth community called "Youth of Indonesia". The community activities are encouraging young people to compete and protect and care for pluralism and other national values. "We should be proud of Indonesia and have to contribute to Indonesia. The younger generation is the agent of change for a nation, and this is where we established Youth of Indonesia," said Chelsea who is the President of Youth of Indonesia. For her contribution to the youth community, she was rewarded for Innovative Young Leader in the event 2017 Southeast Asia Leaders Summit which was held at Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Central Jakarta, in April 2017.

Born in Washington DC to an American mother and an Indonesian father, Chelsea moved to Jakarta to start elementary school and stayed until she finished high school in Mentari International School. Before entering the cinematic industry, she pursued theater world. When she was an elementary student, Chelsea got a role in the theater show for the first time in Once on This Island, which is based on the mythology of Greek Gods. In 2013, she debuted at the professional film industry while playing a role as Annalise in Refrain.

Chelsea Elizabeth Islan (born 2 June 1989) is an Indonesian actress. She gained public recognition in NET TV sitcom Tetangga Masa Gitu. She made her film debut in drama film Refrain (2013), later continued her acting career in several films such as Street Society (2014), Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dolar (2014), Di Balik 98 (2015), and Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto (2015). In 2017, she was appointed as ASEAN Parade ambassador, along with Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra.
