Dubuque has been involved in film and theatre most of her life. She began in upstate New York where she was born and has continued since moving to California close to 40 years ago. She is foremost a producer and a writer but worked in casting for a number of years, as well as stage management, sound, props and costumes. In addition to Angel Hawk Productions (her company with affiliates Cameron Daddo and Jay Langseth,) past film/TV company employment includes Harrison Ford Productions, Embassy Television (Norman Lear,) Buckwheat Film (C. Thomas Howell,) Canyon Entertainment, Tagerick Films/Groat Gang Wild West Show, Studio 7 Productions and Ramm Films, where she did everything from production to promotion and merchandising. In addition Cheryl has been employed by the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department on a continuing basis where she is involved in the production of many theatre projects and festivals, including "The Central Avenue Jazz Festival. " She created and co-produced two successful events for The March of Dimes: "The White Hat Western Round Up" which honored Amanda Blake and Johnny Crawford, held in conjunction with the telethon and "Home Runs for the March of Dimes," a celebrity baseball game and variety show. Angel Hawk Productions currently produces music shows for the Tug McGraw Foundation under the banner of Songs for the Cure. Cheryl was the producer of the music video "K. A. O. S. on Cue" as well as two one act plays "Chug" at the Taber Theatre and "Porch" for the Toluca Lake Player, both taking Drama-Logue's critic's pick. She was the producer of the stage production "Up-front/Backstage" at the Gallery Theatre, worked in publicity for Patrick Swayze's dance show "Without a Word" and co-directed the video version of the musical "Pepper Street" which dealt with teenage suicide, with the intention of having it distributed to schools. Dubuque created and produced the successful "A Theatre Affair" which brought together 25 theatre groups for a day of networking, entertainment, information and fun. She was also instrumental in helping organize two non-profit women's theatre groups. She wrote, produced and directed her own 35 mm film short entitled I Never Got To Say Goodbye in 2004, which was a tribute to the life of a woman who devoted herself to helping people, even though battling her own illness. Dubuque was an Associate Producer/Assistant Production Coordinator on the feature film Knockout.
