Chiu Chuang-huan is a Taiwanese politician who served as the mayor of Taipei from 1994 to 1998. He was born on 25 July 1925 in Tianwei, Taichū, Taiwan, Empire of Japan. Chiu Chuang-huan graduated from the National Taiwan University in 1949 and obtained a master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California in 1954. He then worked in the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1994, Chiu Chuang-huan was elected mayor of Taipei, becoming the first mayor of the city to be elected by popular vote. During his term, he implemented a number of reforms, including the introduction of a new public transportation system and the construction of a new subway line. Chiu Chuang-huan is currently 95 years old. He has a height of 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m). He is married and has two children. Chiu Chuang-huan has an estimated net worth of $1 million.
