Chris Finlayson is a British businessman who has been the Chairman of the British engineering and construction company Balfour Beatty since 2018. He was previously the Chief Executive of the company from 2011 to 2018. Finlayson was born in Manchester, England in 1956. He studied at the University of Manchester, where he earned a degree in civil engineering. After graduating, he worked for a number of engineering and construction companies, including Taylor Woodrow, where he was Managing Director from 1998 to 2001. In 2011, Finlayson was appointed Chief Executive of Balfour Beatty, and in 2018 he was appointed Chairman. During his time as Chief Executive, he oversaw the company's expansion into the United States and the Middle East. Finlayson is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Manchester's School of Engineering. As of 2021, Chris Finlayson's net worth is estimated to be roughly $20 million.
