Chris Pinnick is an American musician, songwriter, and producer. He is best known as the bassist and backing vocalist for the rock band Chicago. He has also released several solo albums and collaborated with other artists. Pinnick was born in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California, United States. He began playing bass guitar at the age of 12. He attended the University of Southern California, where he studied music theory and composition. Pinnick joined Chicago in 1981, replacing founding member Peter Cetera. He has since appeared on all of the band's albums, including the Grammy-winning Chicago 17. He has also contributed to the band's live performances, including the Chicago at Carnegie Hall concert in 1991. In addition to his work with Chicago, Pinnick has released several solo albums, including the critically acclaimed Chris Pinnick Plays the Beatles. He has also collaborated with other artists, including jazz guitarist Larry Carlton and singer-songwriter Richard Marx. As of 2021, Chris Pinnick's net worth is estimated to be roughly $2 million.
