Christian Sittler is an Austrian former professional boxer who competed from 1975 to 1988. He held the European middleweight title from 1979 to 1981, and the WBA middleweight title from 1981 to 1982. Sittler was born on 26 February 1954 in Vienna, Austria. He began boxing at the age of 15, and won the Austrian amateur middleweight title in 1974. He turned professional in 1975, and won his first professional fight against Jürgen Blin. Sittler won the European middleweight title in 1979, and defended it three times before losing it to Alan Minter in 1981. He then won the WBA middleweight title in 1981, and defended it twice before losing it to Marvin Hagler in 1982. Sittler retired from boxing in 1988, with a record of 44 wins, 8 losses, and 1 draw. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2004. As of 2021, Christian Sittler's net worth is estimated to be roughly $2 million.
