Blaisdell attended Keene High School and graduated in 1944. He then attended the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1948. He then attended the University of Michigan Law School, where he earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1951. Blaisdell served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He then worked as an attorney in Keene from 1953 to 1972. In 1972, he was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, where he served until 1976. Blaisdell is married to his wife, Mary, and they have two children. He is currently 73 years old. His net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
