Courtney Watson is an American politician who currently serves as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 9B. She was born on 8 September, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Watson attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics in 1984. She then attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 1987. Watson began her career in politics in 2002, when she was elected to the Howard County Council. She served on the council until 2006, when she was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates. She has been re-elected to the House of Delegates every two years since then. Watson is a member of the Democratic Party and is a member of the Maryland Legislative Black Caucus. She is also a member of the National Conference of State Legislatures and the National Association of Women Legislators. As of 2021, Watson is 58 years old and has a net worth of approximately $1 million.
