Dagobert Dang is a Cameroonian politician and diplomat who served as the Prime Minister of Cameroon from 1992 to 1996. He was born on 1958 in Yaounde, Cameroon. Dang studied at the University of Yaounde, where he obtained a degree in law. He then went on to pursue a career in politics, becoming a member of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) in 1985. In 1992, Dang was appointed Prime Minister of Cameroon by President Paul Biya. During his tenure, he was responsible for the implementation of economic reforms and the privatization of state-owned enterprises. He also oversaw the signing of the Yaounde Peace Agreement, which ended the civil war in the country. In 1996, Dang resigned from his post as Prime Minister and was appointed Ambassador to France. He has since served in various diplomatic posts, including as Ambassador to the United Nations and the United States. Dang is married and has three children.
