Daisy Berkowitz is an American musician, composer, and actor best known for his work as the lead guitarist of the industrial metal band Marilyn Manson. He was born Scott Mitchell Putesky on April 28, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and was heavily influenced by punk and metal bands such as Black Flag, Slayer, and Metallica. In 1989, he formed the band Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids with vocalist Marilyn Manson. The band released their debut album, Portrait of an American Family, in 1994. The album was a success and spawned the hit single "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)". In 1996, Daisy left the band and was replaced by John 5. He went on to form the band Jack Off Jill and released two albums, Clear Hearts Grey Flowers (2000) and Sexless Demons and Scars (2002). In recent years, Daisy has been involved in various musical projects, including the industrial metal band Three Ton Gate and the horror punk band The Daisyland Horror. He has also composed music for video games and films, including the video game The Suffering and the film The Devil's Rejects.
