He has written over 30 books, including the novel "The Night of the Rambler" and the short story collection "The Man Who Loved Dogs". Trevisan studied law at the Federal University of Paraná, but he never practiced. He began his career as a journalist in the 1950s, writing for the newspaper "O Estado de São Paulo". He later worked as a columnist for the magazine "Realidade". Trevisan has won numerous awards for his writing, including the Prêmio Jabuti, the Prêmio Camões, and the Prêmio Machado de Assis. He was also awarded the Order of Rio Branco by the Brazilian government in 2006. Trevisan is currently 98 years old and his net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
