Dan Danglo is a renowned American cartoonist who has been creating cartoons for over 70 years. He is best known for his work in the comic strip "The Adventures of Dan Danglo" which ran from 1950 to 1975. He has also worked on other comic strips such as "The Danglo Family" and "The Danglo Gang". Dan Danglo was born on March 1, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan and graduated in 1943. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy during World War II. After the war, he returned to New York and began working as a freelance cartoonist. Dan Danglo has been married twice. His first wife was Mary Ann Danglo, whom he married in 1950. They had two children together, a son and a daughter. His second wife was Barbara Danglo, whom he married in 1975. Dan Danglo has been honored with numerous awards throughout his career, including the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award in 1971 and the National Cartoonists Society's Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006.
