He has also translated works from French to English. Grenier studied literature at the University of Montreal and the University of Quebec in Montreal. He has published several novels, including The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond of Matches (2006), The Great Night (2009), and The End of the World (2013). He has also translated works by authors such as Michel Tremblay, Marie-Claire Blais, and Marie-Hélène Poitras. Grenier has won several awards for his work, including the Governor General's Award for French-language fiction in 2006 for The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond of Matches, and the Prix des libraires du Québec in 2009 for The Great Night. He was also a finalist for the Governor General's Award for French-language fiction in 2009 for The Great Night. Grenier currently lives in Montreal, Quebec. He is married and has two children.
