She has also written for the television series The Newsroom, The Good Wife, and Quantico. Resnik was born on September 29, 1978 in New York City. She attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She then attended the University of Southern California, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in screenwriting. Resnik began her career as a staff writer on the television series The Newsroom in 2012. She then wrote for the television series The Good Wife and Quantico. In 2016, she joined the writing staff of the HBO series Westworld, for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2018. Resnik is married to actor and producer David Resnik. They have two children.
