Dave Shouse is an American actor and musician. He is best known for his roles in the films The Last Picture Show (1971) and The Outsiders (1983). He has also appeared in television shows such as The Waltons, The Dukes of Hazzard, and The A-Team. Shouse was born in Tennessee and grew up in the small town of Dyersburg. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and soon joined a local band. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. In 1971, Shouse was cast in the film The Last Picture Show, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He went on to appear in several other films, including The Outsiders, The Big Chill, and The Right Stuff. In addition to acting, Shouse has also released several albums as a solo artist and with his band, The Grifters. He has also composed music for films and television shows. Shouse is currently married to actress and singer-songwriter, Mary Lou Lord. They have two children together.
