He played at club level for Wakefield Trinity (Heritage № 685), Bramley and Castleford (Heritage № 590), as a centre, or second-row, i.e. number 3 or 4, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums, and coached at club level for Castleford, Doncaster and Nottingham City.
