In January 2019, Discovery announced the purchase of 71% of Play Sports Group, a global cycling brand.
Under Zaslav, Discovery in June 2018 formed a strategic alliance with the PGA TOUR. The unprecedented 12-year relationship, to begin in 2019, will include global multi-platform live rights, outside the United States, to all PGA TOUR media properties totaling approximately 2000 hours of content per year. The alliance includes the creation of a dedicated, PGA TOUR-branded, OTT video streaming service that will capitalize on Discovery's direct-to-consumer product with the Eurosport Player.
In November 2018, Discovery announced a partnership with Tiger Woods and Discovery's GolfTV.

In November 2015, Zaslav struck a deal for Discovery to take a 3.4% interest in Lionsgate and joined the company's board. "As with all our creative partners, we look forward to telling world-class stories with Jon and the deep management team at Lionsgate, and further strengthening Discovery's content pipeline across our linear and digital platforms around the world," Zaslav said.
