She is best known for her roles in films such as The Battle of Neretva (1969), The Marathon Family (1982), and The Elusive Summer of '68 (1988). Kostic was born on 5 September 1919 in Vrsac, Serbia, Kingdom of Yugoslavia. She studied acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and made her debut in the 1940s. She has since appeared in over 50 films and television series. Kostic has won numerous awards for her work, including the Golden Arena for Best Actress at the Pula Film Festival in 1969 for her role in The Battle of Neretva.
