Don Strauch is a former American politician who served as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1967 to 1973. He was born on April 8, 1926 in Clermont, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a degree in business administration. Strauch was a member of the Republican Party and served as the House Majority Leader from 1971 to 1973. He was also a member of the Iowa State Senate from 1973 to 1983. During his time in the Senate, he served as the Senate Majority Leader from 1979 to 1983. Strauch was a member of the Iowa Board of Regents from 1983 to 1989. He was also a member of the Iowa State Board of Education from 1989 to 1995. Strauch is currently retired and lives in Clermont, Iowa. He is 90 years old.
