Dorri El-Said is a former Egyptian swimmer who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. She was the first female swimmer from Egypt to compete in the Olympics. She was born in Cairo, Egypt on 31 January 1927. Dorri El-Said began swimming at the age of seven and was coached by her father. She was a member of the Egyptian National Swimming Team and competed in the Mediterranean Games in 1947. She also competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, where she finished in sixth place in the 100-meter freestyle event. In addition to her swimming career, Dorri El-Said was also a successful businesswoman. She founded the first Egyptian-owned swimwear company in the 1950s and was the first woman to own a business in Egypt. She also served as the president of the Egyptian Swimming Federation from 1965 to 1975. Dorri El-Said is 96 years old and has a net worth of $1 million. She is married and has two children.
