Edgar Claure is a Bolivian judoka who was born on 8 August, 1958 in Bolivian. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a silver medal in the men's lightweight division at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and a bronze medal in the men's lightweight division at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. He is also a four-time Pan American Games medalist, having won a gold medal in the men's lightweight division at the 1983 Pan American Games in Caracas, a silver medal in the men's lightweight division at the 1987 Pan American Games in Indianapolis, and two bronze medals in the men's lightweight division at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana and the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata. Claure is currently the president of the Bolivian Judo Federation. He is also a member of the International Judo Federation's Hall of Fame.
