Ellen Mundinger is a German high jumper who was born on 14 January, 1955 in Oberkirch, Germany. She is 65 years old. Mundinger began her career in the sport of high jumping in the early 1970s. She competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, where she finished in sixth place. She went on to win the bronze medal at the 1974 European Championships in Rome, and the silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. Mundinger's personal best jump was 1.94 meters, which she achieved in 1976. She was the first German woman to jump over 1.90 meters. Mundinger retired from competitive high jumping in 1979. She currently works as a coach and is a member of the German Athletics Federation. Mundinger is married and has two children. She currently resides in Oberkirch, Germany.
