Elson Seale is a Barbadian politician and former Prime Minister of Barbados. He was born in Bridgetown, Barbados, on 13 June 1955. He attended the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Economics. Seale was first elected to the House of Assembly in 1994, representing the constituency of St. Michael North East. He was appointed Minister of Finance in 1999 and served in that capacity until 2003. In 2003, he was appointed Prime Minister of Barbados, a position he held until 2008. Seale is currently the Chairman of the Barbados National Bank and a member of the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation. He is also a member of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Barbados Employers' Confederation. Seale is married to his wife, Dr. Donna Seale, and they have two children. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing tennis.
