Ernie Colon is an American comic book artist and writer, best known for his work on the comic book series Richie Rich and The New Teen Titans. He has also worked on other titles such as The Avengers, The Incredible Hulk, and The New Mutants. Colon was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and moved to New York City at the age of nine. He studied at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, and began his career in the comic book industry in the late 1950s. He has worked for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and Archie Comics, among others. Colon has received numerous awards for his work, including the Inkpot Award in 1982, the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award in 1985, and the Will Eisner Comic Industry Award in 1988. He was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2005. Colon is currently living in New York City. He is married and has two children.
