She has also won several medals at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, including a gold medal in the halfpipe event in 2005. Bhend was born in Unterseen, Switzerland, on 6 April 1981. She began skiing at the age of three and began competing in freestyle skiing at the age of 14. She has competed in the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships since 1999, and has won several medals, including a gold medal in the halfpipe event in 2005. Bhend has also competed in the 2002 and 2006 Winter Olympics, finishing in the top 10 in both events.
