She is also a two-time Pan American Games gold medalist, having won gold in the individual and team events at the 1999 Pan American Games. Strasser began riding at the age of five and competed in her first international event at the age of 16. She has competed in numerous international events, including the World Equestrian Games, the World Cup Finals, and the Nations Cup. Strasser is married to Canadian show jumper Ian Millar and has two children. She is currently the head coach of the Canadian Equestrian Team.
