Farez Halabi is a former Syrian boxer who competed in the light flyweight division. He was born on 9 June 1957 in Damascus, Syria. He began his boxing career in 1975 and went on to become one of the most successful boxers in the Middle East. He won the gold medal at the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, India, and the bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. Halabi retired from boxing in 1988 and has since become a successful businessman. He is the owner of several companies in Syria, including a construction company, a real estate company, and a sports management company. He is also the president of the Syrian Boxing Federation. Halabi is married and has two children. He currently resides in Damascus, Syria.
