Fauzia Kasuri is a Pakistani politician who has served as a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2013. She is the founder and president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Women's Wing. Kasuri was born on 8 September 1952 in Karachi, Pakistan. She received her early education from the Convent of Jesus and Mary in Karachi. She then attended the University of Karachi, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Kasuri began her political career in 2002 when she was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). She served as a Member of the National Assembly until 2013. During her tenure, she was a vocal advocate for women's rights and was instrumental in the passage of the Women's Protection Bill in 2006. Kasuri is also the founder and president of the PTI Women's Wing. She has been a vocal advocate for women's rights and has been involved in numerous initiatives to empower women in Pakistan. Kasuri is married and has two children. She currently resides in Islamabad, Pakistan.
