Canadian composer and orchestrator who scored animated shorts for both Warner Brothers Merrie Melodies (under the auspices of Harman & Ising) and Walter Lantz Studios in the 1930's. After leaving Lantz in 1940, he became director/conductor for the Los Angeles County Band, and, by 1949, was the director of the 1st Division Band of the California National Guard.
