Franklyn Bellamy was an English actor who was active in the theatre and film industry from the 1920s to the 1950s. He was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaya, on 7 March 1886. He was educated at the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, and served in the Royal Navy during World War I. Bellamy's first stage appearance was in the musical comedy "The Maid of the Mountains" in 1920. He went on to appear in a number of plays and musicals, including "The Student Prince" (1924), "The Desert Song" (1926), and "The Vagabond King" (1930). He also appeared in several films, including "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1934), "The Scarlet Pimpernel" (1935), and "The Four Feathers" (1939). Bellamy was married twice, first to actress Dorothy Minto in 1921, and then to actress Mary Glynne in 1945. He had two children from his first marriage. Bellamy died on 28 April 1957 in London, England. He was 71 years old.
