Gary Wiggins is an American jazz saxophonist and composer. He is best known for his work with Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Weather Report. He has released several albums as a leader, including "The Way I Feel" (1978), "The Gift" (1980), and "The Way I See It" (1982). Wiggins was born in Detroit, Michigan, and began playing saxophone at the age of nine. He attended the University of Michigan, where he studied music theory and composition. After graduating, he moved to New York City and began performing with various jazz groups. In 1975, Wiggins joined Miles Davis' band, and he can be heard on Davis' albums "Agharta" and "Pangaea". He also performed with Herbie Hancock, Weather Report, and other jazz greats. In the 1980s, Wiggins began to focus more on his own music, releasing several albums as a leader. He has also composed music for television and film, including the theme song for the television show "The Cosby Show". Wiggins is currently living in New York City and continues to perform and record. He has been married to his wife, singer-songwriter and producer, Lani Groves, since 1985. They have two children.

Wiggins plays in the A-Trane International Jazz Club Berlin - that announced him as "one of the most important american Saxophonists living in Europe" – since more than 20 years, as well as Europe's Oldest Jazzclub in Paris Le Caveau de las Huchette.

He attended Northwestern High School until 1970, and played in a jazz band while attending community college.
