George Blackburn was an American writer and author. He was born in McPherson, Kansas, on February 13, 1917. He attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a degree in English in 1940. Blackburn wrote several books, including "The Great Plains," "The American West," and "The American Frontier." He also wrote several articles for magazines and newspapers. Blackburn was a member of the American Writers Association and the Authors Guild. He was also a member of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Blackburn passed away on April 15, 2009, at the age of 92. His net worth at the time of his death is unknown.
