George Boahen Oduro is a Ghanaian politician and former Member of Parliament for the Akim Oda Constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He was born on 10 October 1955 in Akim Oda, Ghana. He is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Oduro was educated at the University of Ghana, Legon, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the same university. Oduro was first elected to Parliament in the 1992 Ghanaian parliamentary election on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress. He was re-elected in the 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 elections. He lost his seat in the 2016 election to the New Patriotic Party candidate, Joseph Boahen Aidoo. Oduro is married with four children. He is a Christian and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
