George Theodorescu is a Romanian equestrian who was born on 1 October 1925. He is best known for his success in the show jumping discipline, having won multiple medals at the Olympic Games and World Championships. He began his career in the 1950s and went on to become one of the most successful show jumpers of his time. He won a bronze medal at the 1956 Olympic Games in Stockholm, and a silver medal at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome. He also won a gold medal at the 1962 World Championships in Mexico City. In addition to his success in show jumping, Theodorescu also competed in dressage and eventing. He won a bronze medal in dressage at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, and a silver medal in eventing at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. Theodorescu retired from competition in the 1970s and has since become a successful coach and trainer. He is currently the president of the Romanian Equestrian Federation.
