Gibson Kemp is a British actor and musician who has been active in the entertainment industry since the late 1960s. He is best known for his roles in films such as The Wicker Man (1973), The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976), and The Elephant Man (1980). He has also appeared in television series such as Doctor Who, The Sweeney, and The Professionals. Kemp was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England in 1945. He attended the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys and then studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He began his career as a musician, playing in various bands in the 1960s. He then moved into acting, appearing in a number of stage productions before making his film debut in The Wicker Man in 1973. Kemp has since appeared in a number of films and television series, including The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976), The Elephant Man (1980), Doctor Who (1984-1985), The Sweeney (1975-1978), and The Professionals (1977-1983). He has also appeared in a number of stage productions, including The Rocky Horror Show (1973-1974) and The Tempest (1975). Kemp is married to actress and singer, Joanna Lumley. They have two children together.
