Giordano Ferrari is a former Italian high jumper who competed in the 1980 Summer Olympics. He was born on 23 January 1956 in Fidenza, Italy. Ferrari began his career in 1975, and in 1977 he won the Italian high jump title. He went on to win the European Indoor Championships in 1979 and the European Championships in 1982. He also competed in the 1980 Summer Olympics, where he finished in sixth place. Ferrari retired from competition in 1984, and since then he has worked as a coach. He has coached several Italian high jumpers, including his son, Giacomo Ferrari, who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Ferrari is married and has two children. He currently lives in Fidenza, Italy.
