Glenn Cornick is an English actor and musician best known for his work as the bassist for the progressive rock band Jethro Tull from 1967 to 1971. He was born on April 23, 1947 in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England. Cornick began playing bass guitar in his teens and joined Jethro Tull in 1967. He played on the band's first three albums, This Was, Stand Up, and Benefit. He left the band in 1971 and was replaced by Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond. After leaving Jethro Tull, Cornick formed the band Wild Turkey with guitarist Martin Barre and drummer Mark Craney. The band released two albums, Battle Hymn and Turkey, before disbanding in 1975. Cornick then formed the band Cornick, which released one album, Cornick, in 1976. He also played bass on the album The Last of the Jubblies by the band The Jubblies. In the 1980s, Cornick formed the band Parris, which released two albums, Parris and Parris II. He also played bass on the album The Last of the Jubblies by the band The Jubblies. In the 1990s, Cornick formed the band The Glenn Cornick Project, which released one album, The Glenn Cornick Project. Cornick has also worked as a session musician, playing bass on albums by artists such as John Wetton, Steve Hackett, and Steve Howe.
