Gopal Prasad Parajuli was born on 28 April, 1953 in Nepal. He is the 27th Chief Justice of Nepal. He was appointed to the post on August 15, 2017. Parajuli completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Tribhuvan University in Nepal in 1975. He then went on to pursue his Masters in Laws (LLM) from the same university in 1979. Parajuli has served as a judge in the Supreme Court of Nepal since 2003. He has also served as the Chief Judge of the Patan Appellate Court and the Chief Judge of the Kathmandu District Court. Parajuli is married and has two children. Parajuli is an active member of the Nepal Bar Association and the Nepal Law Society. He is also a member of the International Bar Association and the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization. Parajuli is a highly respected figure in Nepal and is known for his commitment to justice and fairness. He is also known for his dedication to the rule of law and his commitment to upholding the Constitution of Nepal.
