Greg Cook is a former Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. He was born on 25 May 1956 in Sydney, Australia. He played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Eastern Suburbs Roosters, and the Balmain Tigers. Cook made his first grade debut for Canterbury-Bankstown in 1975 and went on to play for the club until 1982. He then moved to Eastern Suburbs in 1983 and played for the club until 1985. He then moved to Balmain in 1986 and played for the club until his retirement in 1988. Cook was a versatile player who could play in the forwards or the backs. He was known for his strong defence and was a key member of the Canterbury-Bankstown team that won the 1978 Grand Final. Cook was a member of the Australian team that toured New Zealand in 1982 and was also selected for the 1982 Kangaroo Tour. Cook retired from rugby league in 1988 and has since worked as a coach and administrator. He is currently the CEO of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
