Guy Severin is a Russian engineer and scientist who has made significant contributions to the fields of aerospace engineering, aerodynamics, and aircraft design. He was born on 24 July, 1926 in Chudovo, Leningrad Oblast, USSR. He graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1950 and went on to work at the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI) in Moscow. He was the head of the TsAGI's Aerodynamics Department from 1965 to 1991. He has been awarded numerous honors and awards, including the Lenin Prize in 1967, the Order of Lenin in 1971, and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor in 1975. He was also elected a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1975. He is currently retired and lives in Moscow. He is 82 years old.
