Gwilym Wyn Jones was a Welsh poet, playwright, and novelist. He was born in Llanfrothen, Merionethshire, Wales, and was educated at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. He was a prolific writer, publishing over twenty books of poetry, plays, and novels. His works include the poetry collections The Burning Tree (1962), The Burning Tree and Other Poems (1966), and The Burning Tree and Other Poems (1970).
