He is the founder and chairman of the Nikogosian Foundation, a charitable organization that provides educational and medical assistance to children in Armenia. He is also the founder and chairman of the Armenian-American Chamber of Commerce, which promotes economic development in Armenia. Nikogosian was born in 1955 in Yerevan, Armenia. He graduated from the Yerevan State University in 1977 with a degree in economics. After graduation, he worked in the Soviet Union's Ministry of Foreign Trade. In 1989, he moved to the United States and founded the Nikogosian Foundation. Nikogosian is married to his wife, Anahit, and they have two children. He is a member of the Armenian Assembly of America and the Armenian General Benevolent Union. Nikogosian is estimated to have a net worth of $100 million.
