However, Hope returned to international duty in September 2019, scoring twice in a 3-0 victory over the Cayman Islands to secure promotion for Barbados in mid-November.

2018

In September 2018 he accepted a call up from Barbados for the CONCACAF Nations League qualifier vs. Guyana, where he made his international debut. In December 2018, CONCACAF declared Hope ineligible to represent Barbados, wiping his two appearances and two goals.

2014

On 2 January 2014, Hope joined League Two side Northampton Town on a month's loan. He made his debut on 4 January 2014, scoring in a 2–1 win over Newport County. He made a further two appearances for Northampton before returning to Everton on 30 January 2014.

On 29 August 2014, Hope joined Football League Championship side Sheffield Wednesday on loan until 1 January. He made his Sheffield Wednesday debut the next day, coming on as a substitute for Joe Mattock in the 85th minutes, in a 1–0 loss against Nottingham Forest. However, with only four appearances, he returned to Everton on 29 October 2014 after being recalled by the club.

On 27 March 2014, Hope joined Football League Two side Bury on loan until the end of the season. He made an immediate impact at Bury, netting a debut goal against his former club, Northampton Town. On 26 April 2014, he scored the first hat-trick of his career against Portsmouth.

On 11 November 2014, Hope returned to League Two side Bury on loan until 3 January 2015. On 1 January, despite not scoring in his 7 appearances for Bury that season, he signed permanently for an undisclosed fee on a three-and-a-half year deal starting at the end of his loan. Manager David Flitcroft said "His potential is frightening and I love working with him". His first game after signing for the club on a permanent basis came two days later, in a 1–0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.

Hope joined Everton from Manchester City in 2005 and signed a full-time scholarship with the club in 2010. On 19 September 2013, he signed a new contract which would keep him at the club until the summer of 2015.
